World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. They work in nearly 100 countries, serving all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. They provide emergency assistance to children and families affected by natural disasters and civil conflict, work with communities to develop long-term solutions to alleviate poverty, and advocate for justice on behalf of the poor. Motivated by their faith in Jesus Christ, they serve alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people.

With 44,000 staff members worldwide, World Vision brings sponsors and donors alongside children and communities in nearly 100 countries. They strive to integrate lasting solutions to the root causes of poverty and sharing God’s hope for a brighter future with each community they serve. Their scope of oversight includes, but is not limited to: health, clean water, education, food and agriculture, child protection, economic development, work here in the United States, and disaster relief.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study (e.g. Theology, Communications, International Development, Philanthropy Development, Advocacy, etc.) with five to eight years of work experience in account management, fundraising, and/or sales. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is not required but would be a bonus.

The background of the successful candidate would ideally include work experience in Christian denominations, networks, or large mega Christian churches. Other pertinent experience could include: business to business sales (3+ years), business to consumer sales (3+ years), fundraising and/or consulting with large churches (3+years), mission work with fundraising responsibilities, or major donor fundraising with a nonprofit organization.

The ideal candidate will have a high degree of commitment to serve World Vision by properly stewarding the day to day operations required to maintain excellent relationships with current and future partnership churches. This person must be a great communicator, orally and written, who can effectively interact with people from other cultures, religions, geographies, and organizations. They will demonstrate a knowledge of church history, the Bible, and theology, and understand the difference between major Christian denominations.

This role will relate to the World Vision team in Seattle, WA, but will be located in the greater Southeast United States. There is no official Census Bureau definition of the southeastern United States.
