Job Description:

The Olympia Union Gospel Mission is a small Christian Rescue Mission serving Thurston County, Washington. The Mission offers Life Transformation / Drug and Alcohol Recovery services to single women (3) and women with children (5 plus children) in a residential setting. The program is designed to run two years, or more, and offers Christ centered recovery services, as well as an opportunity to restore broken relationships, become connected with a local church, earn a GED or attend college, preparation for employment, etc.

The Mission is seeking a Christian women to lead the program and provide both group and individual counseling services to Mission clients. The ideal candidate will first and foremost have a strong relationship with Jesus and a desire to counsel and disciple women who have struggled with abuse and addiction. The ideal candidate will have at least a BS degree in counseling with emphasis in drug and alcohol addiction, three years’ experience providing the same or similar services, have experience working in the Rescue Mission setting, excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate the ability to collaborate with others to achieve the desired outcomes and work well in an independent setting.
