We are prayerfully searching for a trained, experienced Worship Leader for a growing church in Big Lake Alaska. Position responsibilities include:
Prepare and lead music for Sunday morning worship service
Recruit instrumentalists and singers for Special Music
Prepare music for Child and Youth activities
Responsible to select music for Resurrection Sunday and Christmas services
Rehearse and direct choir
Other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor and Elders
Our Worship Leader should be able to handle all facets of selecting, preparing and leading music for Sunday services and other services throughout the year. He must be a mature Christian with knowledge of the Scriptures and the ability to communicate the truths of God and Biblically shepherd the music team. Our worship must have a sound Biblical theology with a high view of God. We prefer a blend of classical hymns and contemporary music; (i.e. Keith and Kristyn Getty and Sovereign Grace).
Faith Bible Fellowship is a non-denominational Bible teaching church located in Big Lake Alaska with a growing congregation of approximately 350. We focus on expository preaching, a high view of God and God honoring worship. We offer a competitive salary based on experience. A parsonage may be available.
Big Lake is a wonderful place to minister and raise a family. Outreach activities for the community include Child Evangelism Fellowship, Pray and Play, AWANA and Youth Group. Our Fall Festival in October and New Years Eve celebrations are attended by over 600 people from the community. Our Food Pantry serves close to 300 people each month. We also have a vibrant Missionary outreach to villages throughout Alaska seeking to bring the Gospel message to the native people.
