Job Title: Financial Development Coordinator

Position Summary
The Financial Development Coordinator works closely with the Chief Executive Officer in establishing, executing and managing all financial development goals, priorities and plans. This position is also responsible for supporting the CEO in the development
of ongoing relationships with major donor contacts and foundations and in all financial development record keeping and reporting.
Essential Functions
Financial Development
Manage and execute the ministry’s annual fundraising plan by developing content and managing deadlines (with direction from the CEO)
Write, develop and track proposals and reports for all foundations and major gift requests, coordinating and editing resources, content and input from the CEO and other team members
Plan and oversee the organization and execution of financial development special events
Coordinate the development of donor communication collateral materials, including but not limited to brochures, e-newsletters, annual reports and videos
Support the CEO in the development of relationships with major donors and foundations, including managing a calendar of regular communication and visits
Prepare financial development reports for the CEO and Board as required
Investigate trends in ministry financial development through proactive learning (i.e., online, webinars, workshops, reading), and determine how those trends could impact visionSynergy’s fundraising strategies
Technology
Responsible for maintaining Salesforce database and keeping current all donor and financial development records including related data and gift processing
CEO Support
Provide general administrative support for CEO as necessary, including but not limited to meeting scheduling and trip planning

Job Specifications
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing or related discipline required
Minimum of 2 years experience in fundraising / financial development
Minimum of 2 years experience in communications and / or marketing preferred
Exposure to, or experience in, international mission / ministry preferred
Proficiency in SalesForce donor management software, preferred, or experience with another non-profit contact management system
Experience using email marketing software such VerticalResponse or MailChimp
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Google Apps, and video conference software (Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc.)
Mastery of the English language
External Communications Requirements
Comfortable working in a global, multi-cultural environment
Provide sensitive, culturally appropriate communication to leaders whose first language may not be English
Capacity to track project / program successes and challenges with integrity, and to report the same to donors / foundations
Capable of working virtually
