Job Description:

Calvary Baptist Church is looking for a Student Ministry Pastor/Director to lead the Student Ministry program, 7th-12th grade, in their next steps with Jesus.
We are looking for a man that:
•    Has a heart for young people, demonstrating the desire and ability to reach students for Christ and a driving passion to lead students and their families into a fully devoted relationship with Christ.

•    Desires to build group unity by reaching out and building relationships with all students in attendance and encouraging leaders to do so.

•    Models Godly living and adheres to the general doctrine of the New Testament Christian churches, such as, belief in the divine inspiration of scripture, the inerrancy of the biblical message, Christ’s virgin birth, His propitiatory death and His bodily resurrection.

•     Fulfills the biblical qualifications of leadership (Titus 1: 5-9 and 1 Timothy 3) and is able to apply that to leading a team of volunteers, communicating effectively and collaborating efficiently. 

•    Someone that is hungry, humble, and smart.  Hungry-always searching to improve and learn more.  Humble-recognizes the leaders and volunteers and gives all glory to God.  Smart-is doctrinally sound and able to practically relate Biblical principles to everyday life.

•    Leads, plans, and directs the student ministry on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, in special events, on mission trips, and in service projects.

Qualifications:
•    3 years Student Ministry Experience preferred.

•    Degree in Biblical Studies preferred.

•    We are Calvary Baptist church and by God’s grace we have a 75-year history of Gospel centered ministry in Yankton, SD. 

•    We are a multigenerational mix of over 500 regular attendees and members.

•    Our mission is Building Up to Reach Out, and we accomplish this in a variety of biblically principled ways that are resourced by an annual budget of $1.6 million.

•    Besides our weekend worship and spiritual formation groups, we serve our community through our daycare, preschool, and community collaborations giving us a connection to scores of unchurched families. 
Where we are:
•    Yankton is located in southeast South Dakota along the shores of the Missouri River and Lewis and Clark Lake. 

•    Yankton is approximately 75 miles southwest of Sioux Falls, SD and about 60 miles northwest of Sioux City Iowa.

•    Yankton’s population is approximately 15,000 yet the geographic reach is nearly 40,000 unchurched and dechurched people within a 20-mile radius.
Salary and Benefits:
$45,000-$65,000 Yearly Based on Education and Experience

About Calvary Baptist Church

We are Calvary Baptist Church, and by God's grace, we have a 75-year history of Gospel-centered ministry in the city of Yankton, SD.  Though we started in a living room, our congregation is now a multigenerational mix of over 500 regular attendees and members.  Our adult ministries are currently comprised of ten community groups of various sizes, our Student Ministries are weekly reaching 60 to 80 students from 7th through 12th grades, our children's ministries are reaching over 120 kids per week, we are averaging four visiting families per week, and we have a daycare service that daily serves over 100 kids.  We are a community of believers committed to reproducing devoted followers of Jesus, of all ages, who love and obey Him.  Our mission is
