JOB OVERVIEW / OBJECTIVE 

The business manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and human resource operations for all campuses within the Grace Bible Church network under the direction and leadership of the Executive Pastor.  

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support and verify the financial budgets align with the church's vision, values, and annual goals. 
  • Serve as the primary driver for coordinating and getting approval on all church budgets in cooperation with the Executive Pastor 
  • Manage the church's funds to assure fiscal responsibility and provide timely information and financial recommendations. 
  • Manage all cash flow/liquidity needs and forecasting. 
  • Achieve and maintain ECFA accreditation. 
  • Oversee general accounting process by delegating tasks to appropriate staff and/or third-party services.  
  • Oversee payroll processing. 
  • Oversee benevolence team.  
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting. 
  • Account for and manage the day-to-day finances of the church while coordinating the maintenance of all accounts, ledgers, balance sheets, income, and disbursements.  
  • Coordinate all facility payments, building leases, and rental contracts. 
  • Establish, manage, and maintain a legacy giving program that supports biblical stewardship through planned, future giving.  
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials. 
  • Coordinate with appropriate services to ensure proper filings for legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. 
  • Oversee preparation of financial reports to include but not limited to: 
  • IRS, auditor, or other accountability reports 
  • Monthly financial reports for ministry leaders and staff 
  • Quarterly and annual financial reports for elders  
  • Quarterly giving reports to contributors 
  • Coordinate and prepare yearly budget in cooperation with Executive Pastor 
  • Provide on-going budget management support to staff and ministry leaders 
  • Manage personnel, property, casualty, and worker’s compensation insurance policies 
  • Oversee employee on-boarding process including maintenance of personnel files 
  • Oversee employee benefits programs including health insurance and pension 
  • Oversee volunteer offering counter teams including training and development of leaders and volunteers 
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all giving, payroll, and other financial data 
  • Attend all scheduled meetings with Executive Pastor, staff and others as needed

  • Maintains annual Ministry Partner agreement  
  • Remain up to date on all activities and ministries going on at Grace to disseminate general information when needed 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business related field 
  • 5+ years of experience working in an accounting or business management position 
  • Proficient with Quickbooks, Excel

Job Overview

The Worship Leader at the Schertz campus of Grace Bible Church is someone with a deep love for Jesus Christ and His people; someone who has musical skills with a passion for music and the role it plays in congregational worship;  someone who is creative and can use that skill to draw others to and engage them with the greatness of God; someone who can lead themselves, the worship team, and the congregation in contemporary, reverent worship; someone who can thrive in a team environment; and someone who can envision, energize, and create a sacred space on Sunday mornings and other worship services, fostering an intimate encounter with Jesus for our congregation to engage with God.

This is a part-time salaried role; therefore, “working hours” during the week are flexible. However, the Worship Leader is expected to “work” from 7:00 am to approximately 2:00 pm on Sundays. 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and develop a culture of contemporary worship that reflects Grace’s vision and style, including working with the Worship Director and Campus Pastor to implement our theology of worship for the Schertz Campus.
  • Lead two worship services on Sunday mornings, which include:
    • Weekly planning and production to follow the theme and purpose of the worship service.
    • Ensuring that worship slides are purposeful, look professional, are readable by the congregation, and are prepared before Sunday morning.
    • Assisting in the setup and teardown processes each weekend.
  • Lead the Worship Team well, which include:
    • Fostering good communication and a strong sense of community among the band members and the A / V techs.
    • Deepen each member’s skills and abilities along with that of the entire worship team.
    • Have organized, well-planned, and meaningful worship practices whereby you care for them spiritually, emotionally, etc. (i.e., this is your small group).
  • Responsible for staffing Tech and Video needs for Sunday morning services.
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings and staff development times.
  • Strong knowledge base in programmed lighting, sound, presentation software, video, and video streaming and can teach and assist in these production components when needed.
  • Responsible for new song vetting, chart creation, arrangement, theme, and flow for services and other worship-related events in conjunction with the Campus Pastor.
  • Continue honing musical proficiency and biblical knowledge.
  • Participate in all levels of Leadershift related specifically to Worship, including developing volunteer teams to perform various functions and identifying and developing volunteer team leaders, coaches, and coordinators as needed.

GRACE STAFF EXPECTATIONS

  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Meet weekly with the Campus Pastor and Worship Director.

  • Able to play an instrument, sing, and lead a band well
  • Strong knowledge base in sound, lighting, video, and video streaming
