Job Description:

Objectives of the position: The Registered Nurse will work alongside the Director of Nursing to ensure nursing services to the patients at Life Choices and maintain or exceed state medical center regulations.

Hours and pay as agreed upon.

Reports to: Director of Nursing

Supervises: Volunteer nurses in the absence of the Director of Nursing as needed

Qualifications Required:

  1. Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  2. Demonstrate ability to provide Christian spiritual guidance to volunteer nurses and patients.
  3. Exhibits strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and sexual purity.
  4. Agrees with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and policies of the Center.
  5. Exhibits skill in interpersonal communication, public speaking, training, and problem solving.
  6. Able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship and support to the volunteers and staff.
  7. Able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.
  8. Maintains a current Colorado Registered Nurse License, and other licenses as may be required by the State of Colorado.
  9. Provide proof of current Hepatitis B vaccine records or waiver.
  10. Demonstrates ability to perform nurse activities as needed.
  11. Has completed or is willing to complete a recognized Nurse Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound course, may be provided by Life Choices

Qualifications Preferred:

  1. At least 1 year nursing experience.
  2. Background in obstetrical nursing.
  3. Experience performing limited obstetrical ultrasound.
  4. Experience at a pro-life pregnancy medical clinic.
  5. Administrative, training, and public speaking experience.

Essential Functions: 

  1. Works alongside the Director of Nursing to provide a high standard of nursing services to patients
  2. Have familiarity with and abide by the Medical Center Policies and Procedures and Standing Orders as put forth by the Medical Director
  3. Provides administrative support to the Director of Nursing and Executive Director as needed
  4. Supervises volunteer nurses at Life Choices in the absence of the Director of Nursing
  5. Performs limited obstetrical ultrasounds and nursing services to patients as needed if available
  6. Monitors RN Licensures, BLS certification, safety, health, and OSHA standards
  7. Provide trainings, education, guidance, and other administrative duties as requested by the Executive Director and Director of Nursing
  8. Oversee the maintenance of the Policies and Procedures Manual
  9. Attend staff meetings, and other meetings as required
  10. Self-organized and adept at time management
